Update from the Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA)
Work for the East Main Street Sewer Rehabilitation Project is scheduled to restart at 7 a.m. Saturday (April 9) and continue through 9 p.m. Saturday (April 9).
The project is in the restoration phase after installing the new sewer line through the project area.
Work on Saturday, April 9, will consist of paving work on East Main Street between the intersection with South Greensboro Street and the intersection with Roberson Street. Flaggers will be on site to allow traffic to move through the intersection of East Main Street and Roberson Street.
East Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic between South Greensboro Street and Roberson Street to allow for the paving to be carried out safely.
Please keep in mind that while this work is going on, the local businesses will be open along East Main Street. Sidewalk and parking lot access is expected to be open throughout the project. Thank you for your patience while this critical infrastructure investment is completed!
