The
16th annual Carrboro Music Festival
will
be held on:
Sunday,
September 29th, 2013
The event was a product of a coordinated
effort by the Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department
and the Carrboro Music Festival Planning Committee.
The day long, free festival
featured over 180 performing acts at 25 indoor and outdoor
venues throughout downtown Carrboro. In the space of
a few hours (and within a few blocks) a listener could
hear Bluegrass, Folk, Jazz, Country, Rock & Roll,
Classical, and World Music. There was the usual effort
to showcase Triangle area performers and the varied
musical styles they represent. All of the performers
donated their talents to foster a strong sense of community
and as a way to reveal their talents to a wider audience.
