Summer Camps scheduled for July and August will be evaluated at a later date and an update will be provided.

Department staff will be providing updates to those who are currently registered for summer camps. Camps must still meet minimum registration requirements in order to be held.

July 4th Celebration
The annual July 4th Celebration and related activities at Town Hall and Weaver Street Market have been cancelled.  The department will offer alternative activities, including the annual Frederick Douglass Essay Reading, in place of the physical events.  Please continue to follow Town of Carrboro social media channels and the July 4th event website (www.carrborojuly4th.com) for details as they are announced.

Refunds
For classes and events that have been cancelled due to COVID-19, participants will receive a full credit on their accounts.  Participants electing to withdraw will be given a pro-rated refund and administrative fees for Summer program refunds, including summer camps, will be waived.  Participants who prefer to have their registration fee balances refunded are asked to contact our Administrative Assistant via email at dsanders@townofcarrboro.org

Future Classes and Events
The Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Resources Department will continue to evaluate future classes and events.  Adjustments, such as reduction of class sizes and/or changes to program delivery methods, including social distancing and other public health strategies, may need to be implemented to ensure the health and well-being of participants.  We will continue to provide updates as they occur.
