[ARCHIVED] Community Input Needed: Quotes to Honor Dr Martin Luther King Jr

MLKParkSurveyPhoto

The Town of Carrboro is in the process of selecting several elements that honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy in the park that is currently being constructed. A “Call to Young Artists” is currently out to recruit Carrboro students to create murals for the park.

One other highlight in the park includes quotes that embody Dr. King’s message.  These placards will line the walking trail.  Selections of up to eight quotes are being considered for eight different signs.  The signs can hold up to 80 characters, so please consider the count when deciding what to submit.  The only other criteria is that you are a resident of our wonderful Town.  The Recreation and Parks Commission will make recommendations of what quotes to consider to the Board of Aldermen in November.

Send your quote(s) to recparks@townofcarrboro.org by November 1st by 4:30pm.

We’d love to hear from you!
