    The Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department Drop-In programs allow participants the opportunity to play in an informal setting and to meet others of similar sporting interest. Groups are welcome to attend. Participants should contact the Recreation and Parks Department at (919) 918-7364 for specific scheduling information. Ages 16+ (Experienced players 15 & Under may attend with a parent/guardian.)

  2. Jams and Cans Jamboree Benefitting TABLE

    Alpha Phi Omega and Phi Sigma Pi are very excited to present: Jams and Cans Jamboree, our first ever carnival-style event, where there will be outdoor games, face-painting, a photo booth, prizes, raffles, FREE FOOD, and food trucks!!! APO and Phi Sig are partnering together for our annual fundraiser for TABLE, a nonprofit organization that gives healthy, emergency food to aid children in Chapel Hill and Carrboro.   3. Earth Day/Keep Carrboro Beautiful Volunteer Day

    April 21, 2018, 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Carrboro Century Center & Various Locations

    Bring the family out to help clean-up the Town of Carrboro and prevent trash from entering our local streams. Bring your work gloves and dress to be outside. Volunteers will meet at the Century Center at 9:00am and clean-up supplies are provided. Scout groups and youth groups are welcome to participate.     Parents and children (Ages 5-15) will learn the basics about fishing including different equipment, techniques, sites, and regulations. You may even meet a fishing buddy or two!   5. TABLE's 7th Annual Food Truck Rodeo

    April 21, 2018, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ 1220 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Chapel Hill, NC 27514

    TABLE and Orange United Methodist Church of Chapel Hill are partnering to host a Food Truck Rodeo on Saturday, April 21st from 3pm – 7pm at the church, 1220 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Chapel Hill. The two organizations are working together to create a family-fun event that benefits TABLE and hungry children in the community. The event features: Food Trucks include: Chirba Chirba Dumplings, Crepes Veronique, Dusty Donuts, Gussy's, The Humble Pig, Las Gringas, Maple View Mobile Ice Cream, and Stuft. Food trucks will donate 12% of their proceeds to TABLE. New this year! Kidzu Children’s Museum will provide fun and interactive games focused on nutrition. Kids Play Area will feature a bounce house, pony rides, corn hole, kids games and face painting, sponsored by Weinstock Realty.

    CO-SPONSORED BY SCOTTS & MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL Throw strikes to a designated target, hit from a batting tee for distance and accuracy, and sprint from 2nd base to home plate for time. Winners advance to sectional competition and have an opportunity to advance to the MLB All Star Week. Make sure to bring a copy of birth certificate for age verification. Boys and girls compete separately in four age groups (Ages 7-14).

  7. Chapel Hill - Carrboro CROP Hunger Walk

    April 22, 2018, 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ The CROP Walk starts and ends at Carrboro Town Commons.

    Bring your family and friends and enjoy an afternoon of games, anti-hunger activities and great music provided by the New Orleans Masquerade. Let's walk together to end hunger and poverty in our community and around the world. The walk is a 3.7 mile or .8 mile family-friendly stroll through Carrboro and Chapel Hill, including UNC-Chapel Hill. The Chapel Hill/Carrboro CROP Hunger Walk supports hunger relief efforts globally and locally. Church World Service distributes 75 percent of the money to hunger programs in more than 80 countries. The remaining 25 percent feeds families through IFC's food pantry and community kitchen.

  5. Stormwater Utility Project "Drop-in" Community Input Session
