The Town of Carrboro is currently seeking both amateur and professional musicians for its 13th annual free music festival on Sept. 26th, 2010. The Carrboro Music Festival includes indoor and outdoor venues with sound systems and sound technicians. The only exceptions are a couple of venues (with solo or duo performers) where the musicians have to run their own sound with systems we have provided.

The festival is as diverse as the music it celebrates and musicians perform throughout the town for free. The selection committee attempts to strike a balance between our returning festival performers and first timers so please be aware that previous participation does not guarantee you a spot. We cannot accommodate everyone who applies to play.

Applications will be available from May 1st through July 20th, 2010. Applications received after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list. Tapes, CDs or website samples are required from anyone who has not played the CMF before. Musicians are encouraged to bring merchandise to their performance, however, they are completely responsible for the selling of these items.
